Sensory Seeking - 2022

Mixed Media - Acrylic paint, acrylic felt, fabric, wire, paper, yarn.

Single overhead suspension point - must be able to freely spin in place.

Spinning is very common with neurodivergent children. Their need to seek extra sensory inputs can create behaviors like spinning, tiptoe walking, flapping of arms or repetitive sounds. Stims are very normal and are their way of equalizing and processing.

Part of my solo exhibition - Do I make you uncomfortable?
